Having not blogged since January i thought it was about time i got back on the band wagon. I’ve been pretty busy with fyp / exams so not done anything blog worthy. Did land a first in my dissertation/fyp so thats worth a mention! Will try and sort out fuzzmonkey.co.uk soon, not sure what im going to do with it but still. Need something to fill time over the summer!

Urgh. Why is it that the more work you should be doing, the more you end up dossing? I’ve done a fair wack of work for DB32 on tuesday but have wasted away several hours today doing very little. It’s not the end of the world i guess, loosing a few hours here a few hours there but it all adds up. Was planning on starting sy33 revision, bit late in the game for today now i think!
On a side note, i can’t wait for exams to be over. It’s going to be an uber busy term but i have a feeling its going to be a good ‘un. FYP, courseworks and maybe even job hunting will no doubt take over but hoping for some fun before everything gets a bit too real after graduation. We shall only see.
Also, why does all the decent tv stop over christmas? Actors should keep working like normal people! Im desperate for a fix of anything, heroes, lost, atlantis any will do! Robin hood’s season 2 finale was shite, how could they kill *that* character? What a load of bollocks. Dr who was pretty shite too. I expect better this year!

Happy new year. Feels the same as the last one but doesn’t it every year i guess. In the process of packing my bags to return to leeds tomorrow and it reminded me of my blog, it’s been ages!
I’ve had a pretty decent Christmas and new year even if i did spend most of the time working. I don’t even have that much money, but what can beat dressing up in drag and pulling pints? (read: everything) Looking forward to the end of jan after exams but a bit reluctant to come back, mainly due to revision. I’ve done a bit, about half of db32 but it’s not enough! I have tomorrow, thurs, fri, sat and sunday before pd31! Argh! Not too worried about pd31 tho, i think even with no revision you can still do half decent if you go into the exam with your head screwed on.
Anyways, back to packing then pub for the last time till the 18th. Here’s to a new year and more rambling blog posts!
So i’ve come home for christmas. I’ve left my coat in leeds and thus im fucking freezing my bollocks off most of the time. I should be doing revision for my second to last lot of exams ever but i can’t get motivated. Instead im searching myspace for some new music, it’s hard. Most of this stuff thats considered popular makes my ears bleed. Its garbage, utter utter shite music. I used to say i liked indie but these days its all so generic i might have to move to another scene. Ah well, beats revision i guess.
I’ve just finished my mid project report! Wuhey! Free until the revision guilt kicks in some time in the next few weeks. It’s a good feeling knowing i don’t have to get up tomorrow for anything if i don’t want to.
I’m still surprised i’ve made it thus far meeting all my deadlines. I’ve been pulling all nighters on a regular basis, my bodyclock is screwed! I’ve not even been leaving the work till the last minute (appart from my mid project report, whoops) its just that work is taking me allot longer to do this year. Talking of which, it’s half way over!
Really should leave eniac and head home.. i’ve got stockholm syndrome though, eniac is my captor and i .. like it (i’ve been here for well over 14 hours now).
A night of well deserved boozing is on the cards.

Few random things i’ve been meaning to blog the last week or so.
Dec-10. You’ve got to love the sense of community there is at 3am in the morning when everyone is nailing coursework before the 9am deadline. I like it, it makes me want to leave coursework till the last minute more often.
PD31. We had our group presentation infront of 1/3 of our year and some dude from IBM on Tuesday. I pulled an almost all nighter the night before so managed to completely forget who to pass over to, but it went ok all the same i think. Made me realise that our groups idea, a business social networking site wasn’t actually that bad. We were the only group that didn’t get nailed with hard questions, that people who obviously have far too much time on their hands were asking. I wish i had spare hours to research other peoples business ideas, i barely have enough time to do my own stuff! Ah well, each to their own.
Heroes - wooot! It’s getting sooo much better. Seems i was right that the pace would pick up a little after the slow start. Hiro V Peter, who would of thought?! Can’t wait for next weeks episode now just to see what happens between those two. I always suspected adam was a bad guy but i’m still not sure on the company’s true intentions. Adam say’s they’re evil, claire’s dad says they’re evil. Are they evil, misguided or good? I have no real idea!
Still struggling to sort out a job out for Christmas, my boss doesn’t seem that sure i can get 20+ hours a week and im not sure if i want the other job i’ve been offered. Hopefully i’ll sort it soon, the thought of working my arse off doing fyp and revision all holiday with no money to spend on beer isn’t that appealing!
Heroes didn’t disapoint this week for a change! I won’t go into too much detail incase anyone actually reads my blog and watches heroes(read: raby) but that was a decent ep! Rabys earlier blog about the good guys turning into the bad is coming all too truer. I’m not sure if there is a distinct line between good and evil in heroes season two as yet, everyones story could be for the greater good at the end of the day. We shall see..

I have two courseworks to complete, a group project presentation to prepare for and the ever looming dissertation mid project report yet i’ve still spent the last few hours playing crysis. It’s not even that good. I never knew koreans could take that many bullets before keeling over, maybe it’s because the rifle i’ve been using has the single shot accuracy of.. err something that isn’t very accurate. It looks good but im getting bored of the gameplay already, this is one of the most hyped games of the year and its pretty weak. Ah well there is always Call of Duty 4 to replay…
Another thing im loosing interest in is stargate altantis. Next week’s ep sounds ‘really’ interesting.

Haven’t we had this plot line several times before on SG1? Swap the baddies, place a different atlantis member in distress and boom. Good guys kill the bad guys appart from one who gets out in time, all the good guys survive, party. Same old same old. Heroes best be good this week or i’ll be really angry.
On a sidenote i went home this weekend. It’s was a pretty decent weekend in all even if i did spend a small fortune. Saturday has to be one of the funniest nights out i’ve had in ages followed by a snow storm sunday evening. Good times!
I’m halfway through watching this weeks episode of heroes. Don’t you just hate 3 months ago flashback episodes? I always end up thinking why didn’t you show us this earlier? Grr. Hopefully it’ll have some kick ass ending..
Edit: Ok that was actually pretty good. It did actually work well the whole 3 months ago 2 months ago 1 month ago etc but still, it sucks on most shows. I really hope season 2 starts to pick up pace soon. I’m slowly getting bored of all these filleresque epsiodes. The end leaves you almost edge of the seat excited for the next episode, then the next episode fails to live up to the end of the last. I guess thats just american tv for you.
